RHDV Vaccine Required for Boarding Buns

In response to Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV), BunnyLuv Rabbit Resource Center is taking precautions to keep rabbits that board with us, and our adoptable rabbits, safe from the virus.

BunnyLuv requires all boarders to be vaccinated for RHDV.

Proof of vaccinations must be dated at least ten (10) days prior to the reserved drop off date of your bunny(s).

You can email, bunnyluv@bunnyluv.org, or bring in a copy of your vaccination certificate.

It is also strongly recommended to have your bunny vaccinated if you frequently use BunnyLuv for grooming services.

The safety and well-being of all rabbits is our main concern

and we appreciate your understanding.

About BunnyLuv

See Some of our Adoptable Rabbits!

BunnyLuv Rabbit Resource Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), no-kill animal welfare organization. We offer education, adoption, care and supplies for domestic rabbits and the humans who love them. Since our establishment in 1996, BunnyLuv Rabbit Resource Center has helped thousands of rabbits and humans live together.

We are here to help people create and maintain a meaningful relationship with their domestic companion rabbits and to help keep their rabbits happy and healthy for a long life and mutual enjoyment. We do this by providing information free of charge, helping to reduce rabbit overpopulation and abandonment in Southern California, and providing a safe haven for neglected rabbits as they await adoption.

To our local residents visiting our shelter:

With the community being at the heart of everything we do, and in light of concerns of the Coronavirus, BunnyLuv would like to share our current efforts to keep you and our communities safe and healthy.

Like many others, our organization is closely following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other local and national health organizations. Please take a moment to review the below outlined precautionary measures BunnyLuv will put into immediate effect.

  • Business hours will remain as usual and can be found on our website. We have shared specific instructions with our BunnyLuv team on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick.

  • As stated, our storefront will remain open, and we encourage shoppers to call ahead for us to have your order ready for pickup, this includes those interested in boarding as well.

  • Our adoptions will continue, however the method of contact will be restricted to phone & email correspondence only.

  • If you don't feel well, or choose not to visit our store, we are ready to serve you at our online store, or even through local deliveries (see below for more details).

We appreciate your understanding as we take precautions to protect you and those individuals within our community. We are committed to our BunnyLuv family as our focus will continue on providing you with excellent customer service.

To further this goal all BunnyLuv employees have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Warmest Regards,

The BunnyLuv Team
